El espectáculo de la competición del polo regresa de la mano de Ayala Polo Club del 28 de mayo al 15 de septiembre
Los aficionados al polo de todo el mundo que cada año acuden fieles a su cita a las canchas de Los Pinos y de Ayala para disfrutar de este espectáculo deportivo del máximo nivel en Sotogrande ya tienen a su disposición el calendario de la temporada 2024.
Con la organización un año más a cargo de Ayala Polo Club y Minuto7, el inicio de la competición está marcado para el 28 de mayo con la jornada inaugural de la Copa de Bienvenida KE Sotogrande, que se disputará hasta el 2 de junio. A continuación llegará la Copa Joseph McMicking del 6 al 16 de junio, y una nueva edición del Open de España para concluir el mes de junio, del día 20 al 30, siendo éste el primer torneo de la temporada con competición de bajo y mediano hándicap (6-8 y 10-12 goles, respectivamente).
La acción continúa ya en julio con el Memorial Manuel Prado y Colón de Carvajal (6-8 goles) y el Memorial Fundador Enrique Zóbel (10-12 goles), que se disputarán de forma simultánea durante la primera quincena del mes, del 4 al 14 de julio.
Tras una semana de descanso, y ya en plena temporada alta llegará la primera de las grandes citas tradicionales del polo en Sotogrande, con la Copa de Bronce del Torneo Internacional de Polo, que en este 2024 llega a su 53ª edición. Esta primera competición del torneo más prestigioso de la temporada se disputará del 22 al 27 de julio y, así como las copas de Plata y Oro, contará con tres categorías: Bajo, Mediano y Alto Hándicap.
Dos días después de la de Bronce, llegará la Copa de Plata que, iniciándose el 29 de julio llevará el espectáculo del polo a las canchas de Ayala y Los Pinos hasta el 17 de agosto.
Finalmente, las últimas semanas de este mes acogerán la cita más esperada, la celebración de la Copa de Oro entre los días 19 y 31.
Una vez concluida la 53 edición del Torneo Internacional de Polo de Sotogrande, ya para la primera quincena de septiembre están programados las dos últimas copas de la temporada oficial de 2024, la Copa San Enrique de Guadiaro, del 5 al 9 y la Copa Despedida del 12 al 15, ambas de Bajo Hándicap.

2024 Sotogrande polo season dates confirmed by Ayala Polo Club
Ayala Polo Club brings back competitive polo from the 28th of May to the 15th of September.
Polo enthusiasts from all over the world who come every year to the Los Pinos and Ayala fields to enjoy this sporting spectacle of the highest level in Sotogrande already have at their disposal the calendar for the 2024 season.
Organised once again by Ayala Polo Club and Minuto7, the start of the competition is set for the 28th of May with the opening day for the Welcome Cup KE Sotogrande, which will be played up to the 2nd of June. This will be followed by the Joseph McMicking Cup from the 6th to the 16th of June, and a new edition of the Spanish Open to conclude the month of June, from the 20th to the 30th. The latter will be the first tournament of the season with low and medium handicap competitions (6-8 and 10-12 goals, respectively).
All the action resumes in July with the Memorial Manuel Prado y Colón de Carvajal (6-8 goals) and the Memorial Fundador Enrique Zóbel (10-12 goals), which will be played simultaneously during the first fortnight of the month, between the 4th and the 14th of July.
After a week’s rest, and in the middle of the high season, the first of the major traditional polo events will take place in Sotogrande, with the Bronze Cup of the International Polo Tournament, which will reach its 53rd edition in 2024. This first competition of the most prestigious tournament of the season will be played from the 22nd to the 27th of July and, as well as the Silver and Gold Cups, will have three categories: Low, Medium and High Handicap.
Two days after the Bronze Cup, the Silver Cup will be held, starting on the 29th of July and will bring the polo spectacle to the fields of Ayala and Los Pinos up until the 17th of August.
Finally, during the last weeks of this month, the most eagerly awaited event will take place, namely the celebration of the Gold Cup from the 19th to the 31st.
Once the 53rd edition of the Sotogrande International Polo Tournament is over, the last two cups of the official 2024 season are scheduled for the first fortnight of September: the San Enrique de Guadiaro Cup, from the 5th to the 9th and the Farewell Cup between the 12th and the 15th, both of them low handicap tournaments.
