No conozco el fondo del problema, ¿qué piden los trabajadores que la empresa no acepta? y por lo que leo en la prensa local, mi confusión es notable. Hoy mismo leo esto en la prensa local y el relato de las seis horas de caos. Corte de cinco horas y otra mas de normalización.
El daño ha sido enorme, incalculable, cancelaciones de viajes, paralización de la justicia, retrasos de operaciones quirúrgicas y atención hospitalaria, pérdidas de colegio, ausencias en los trabajos de todos, el tejido empresarial se resiente… y sin avisar. Ha sido precisamente el lunes después de las fiestas de Semana Santa, cuando la actividad se reanuda.
También leo que la empresa anuncia una denuncia penal por sabotaje. Un incendio provocado sin permitir la entrada de los «servicios mínimos». Contra el llamado comité de huelga.
Y si los sindicatos mayoritarios (UGT y CCOO) callan. Y si callan es que saben la realidad. No se les oye ni apoyar ni criticar, ni tampoco defender a los demás trabajadores afectados. Las autoridades también están desaparecidas; no se posicionan, no se «mojan»… ¿quién defiende al ciudadano? Estamos indefensos, desconcertados, cabreados. Esto parece fuera de control. Pero el hecho cierto, y sufrido, son las seis horas de paralización (cinco de corte más una de normalización) con las consecuencias relatadas. Y ¿volverá a pasar mañana?
Dos meses de huelga, y ACERINOX anuncia «cierre patronal». Esto huele a que los que mueven a los trabajadores están haciendo el juego a los que mandan en la empresa. Es lo que ellos quieren. Porque si no es rentable para los accionistas de una multinacional enorme, que tiene fábricas en todo el mundo, van a exigir el cierre. Y son miles los puestos de trabajo que se pueden perder.
Anuncian otra reunión este mes. Espero que no sea un «paripé». Y también espero que la autoridad política y administrativa que corresponda tome las riendas de este lío. Por el bien de todos.

I don’t know what the workers are asking for that the company won’t accept, and from what I read in the local press, my confusion is considerable. Just today I read this in the local press regarding the story about the six hours of chaos. Five hours of outage and another one of return to normality.
The damage has been enormous, incalculable, cancellations of trips, paralysis of justice, delays in surgery and hospital care, academic absences, work absences for all, and the business network suffers… all without warning. It was precisely on Monday, after the Easter holidays, when activity is supposed to resume.
I also hear that the company has announced a criminal complaint for sabotage. An arson attack that did not allow the essential services to enter. This against the so-called strike committee.
And the majority unions (UGT and CCOO) keep quiet. And if they are silent, it is because they know the truth. They neither support nor criticise, nor defend the other workers affected. The authorities have also disappeared; they don’t take a stand, they don’t get involved… who defends the citizen? We are helpless, bewildered, angered. This seems out of control. But the true and suffered fact is that there were six hours of stoppage (five hours of cut-off plus one hour of return to normality) resulting in the above-mentioned consequences. Will this happen again tomorrow?
Two months of strike, and ACERINOX announces a ‘lockout’. This reeks of the workers’ organizers playing into the hands of those in charge of the company. It is what they want. Because if it is not profitable for the shareholders of a huge multinational, which has factories all over the world, they will demand its closure. And thousands of jobs could be lost.
They are announcing another meeting this month. I hope it is not a charade. I also hope that the appropriate political and administrative authority will take control of this mess. For the good of all.
