Me vais a perdonar pero como diría Mariah Carey… All the Christmas is you! Pues eso, que ya estamos en navidad y es tiempo de disfrutar de los amigos, de la familia, de acordarse de los que ya no están y, también, de hacer balance de un año que se nos ha pasado ¡volando!
Ya sabéis que soy un positivo por naturaleza, y el balance que realizo de este 2024 es ¡espectacular! El 2024 ha consolidado a nuestra región como referentes internacionales del golf. Sotogrande, conocido como el corazón del golf en Europa, ha sido escenario de torneos de gran prestigio y de una actividad vibrante que refuerza su reputación como destino de élite.
Uno de los hitos más destacados del año fue la celebración del Andalucía Masters en el icónico campo de Real Club Sotogrande, un evento parte del DP World Tour que reunió a los mejores golfistas del panorama mundial con la presencia de un Jon Rahm que demostró la grandeza de este deporte y lo bien que hacemos las cosas aquí.
No podemos olvidarnos de LIV Andalucía, un evento que ya se ha consolidado como un referente dentro de este circuito que ha vuelto a confirmar al RC Valderrama como uno de sus campos de referencia a nivel global y en el que Sergio García volvió a demostrar que su idilio con este diseño de Robert T. Jones va mucho más allá de un amor a primera vista.
Además, Sotogrande se lució con la organización de numerosos torneos amateurs y eventos corporativos, convirtiéndose en un epicentro para empresas y golfistas aficionados que buscan combinar deporte y networking en un entorno exclusivo. Los campos como La Reserva Club, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Almenara Golf, La Hacienda Links, La Cañada y/o San Roque Club fueron sede de múltiples competiciones nacionales y autonómicas que fomentaron la participación local y el talento emergente.
Andalucía, por su parte, mostró su liderazgo en el turismo de golf a través de una agenda repleta de eventos en sus ocho provincias. La región también promovió actividades inclusivas, como torneos de golf adaptado, demostrando su compromiso con la diversidad y la accesibilidad en el deporte como el G4D del DP World Tour en el RCG Sotogrande en Octubre…
En resumen, el año 2024 ha reafirmado el estatus de Sotogrande y Andalucía como destinos de golf de primer nivel, con una combinación perfecta de eventos deportivos, innovación y hospitalidad.

Farewell 2024 Will 2025 bring the same golfing impetus, right?
Forgive me, but as Mariah Carey would say… All I want for Christmas is you! Well, Christmas is here and it’s time to enjoy spending time with friends, family, remembering those who are no longer with us and, also, to take stock of a year that has flown by!
You already know that I am a positive person by nature, and my assessment of 2024 is nothing short of spectacular! 2024 has strengthened our region as an international golf reference. Sotogrande, known as the heart of golf in Europe, has been the scene of prestigious tournaments and vibrant activity that reinforces its reputation as an elite destination.
One of the highlights of the year was the holding of the Andalucía Masters at the iconic Real Club Sotogrande course, a DP World Tour event that brought together the best golfers from around the world led by Jon Rahm, who demonstrated the excellence of this sport and just how well we do it here.
We can not forget LIV Andalucía, an event that has already established itself as a major player in the circuit and which has once again established RC Valderrama as one of its leading courses on a global level. At this event, Sergio García once again demonstrated that his love affair with this Robert T. Jones design goes far beyond just love at first sight.
In addition, Sotogrande shone with the organisation of numerous amateur tournaments and corporate events, becoming an epicentre for companies and amateur golfers looking to combine sports and networking in an exclusive environment. Courses such as La Reserva Club, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Almenara Golf, La Hacienda Links, La Cañada and/or San Roque Club hosted multiple national and regional competitions that encouraged local participation and emerging talent.
Andalusia, in turn, displayed its leadership position in golf tourism through a full agenda of events across its eight provinces. The region also promoted inclusive activities, such as adapted golf tournaments, demonstrating its commitment to diversity and accessibility in the sport with the DP World Tour’s G4D at the RCG Sotogrande in October…
In short, 2024 has reasserted Sotogrande and Andalucía’s status as a world-class golf destination, with a perfect combination of sporting events, innovation and outstanding hospitality.
