Uno de los hitos del año fue la distinción de Sotogrande como el desarrollo residencial de golf número 1 del mundo por Golf World. Este reconocimiento reafirma la combinación única de vida privada y golf de campeonato que ofrece Sotogrande, colocándolo a la vanguardia de los desarrollos de golf a nivel mundial.

Desde ser reconocidos como el desarrollo residencial de golf líder en el mundo hasta albergar torneos profesionales de élite y lanzar innovadores proyectos inmobiliarios. Sotogrande reveló recientemente los planes para una nueva Academia de Golf, actualmente en construcción en el SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort. Esta instalación de última generación ofrecerá iniciación, práctica y formación profesional, y está destinada a convertirse en la principal academia de golf de la región.
Más allá de los campos de golf, Sotogrande logró avances significativos en propiedades y sostenibilidad en 2024. Además de lanzar Villa Noon, la primera villa de lujo de cero emisiones en España, Sotogrande ha añadido más proyectos exclusivos a su cartera. Ha completado con éxito la venta de varias propiedades dentro de The 15 (uno de sus desarrollos más destacados), alcanzando más del 50% de unidades vendidas. Entre estas ventas se incluye AQUA, un proyecto de ARK Architects que se vendió en sólo seis meses tras su lanzamiento. A lo largo de sus diferentes desarrollos inmobiliarios, el precio promedio de venta aumentó un 30% respecto a 2023, mientras que Village Verde, un desarrollo de apartamentos de lujo, alcanzó el 85% de unidades vendidas, seis meses antes de la entrega de su segunda fase.
La oferta hotelera de Sotogrande también destacó en 2024, con el SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort siendo nombrado el Mejor Hotel de Golf en España por los International Property Awards, subrayando su servicio de clase mundial, oferta gastronómica y amplia variedad de comodidades.
Por otra parte, el 2024 trajo más reconocimientos en los rankings internacionales de golf. Como Golf World, que posicionó a Sotogrande en el sexto puesto en su lista de los Top 100 European Resorts, un ascenso de 11 posiciones, mientras que National Club Golfer mantuvo la tercera posición de Sotogrande en Resorts Europeos, reafirmándolo como el destino de golf líder en España. Además, Golf Digest incluyó al Real Club Valderrama (29º) y al Real Club Sotogrande (74º) en su lista de los World Top 100 Courses, siendo los únicos campos españoles en aparecer en esta prestigiosa clasificación.
Y todo esto ocurrió en un año en el que el Real Club Valderrama, ubicado en el corazón de Sotogrande, acogió nuevamente la LIV Golf League, donde la leyenda española Sergio García logró la victoria en LIV Andalucía. Además, el club decano del golf en la zona, Real Club Sotogrande, fue sede de nuevo del Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters del DP World Tour en octubre.

Sotogrande caps off year of innovation, development, and record success in 2024
Sotogrande, located at the southern tip of the Costa del Sol, and the benchmark for luxury living and world-class golf, celebrates a year of significant achievements in 2024 that cement its reputation as one of the world’s most desirable places to live.
A highlight of the year was Sotogrande being crowned the #1 residential golf development in the world by Golf World. This accolade reaffirms Sotogrande’s offering of private living and championship golf and places it at the forefront of global golf developments.

Sotogrande recently unveiled plans for a new Golf Academy, already under construction at the SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort. This state-of-the-art facility will offer coaching, practice, and professional training, and is set to become the premier golf academy in the region.
Beyond the fairways, Sotogrande made significant strides in property and sustainability in 2024. In addition to launching Villa Noon, Spain’s first zero-emissions luxury villa, Sotogrande has introduced more exclusive projects into its portfolio, successfully completed the sale of multiple properties within The 15 (one of its marquee developments), achieving more than 50% of units sold. The sales in The 15 include AQUA – a project by ARK Architects that sold within 6 months of its launch. Across its different property developments the average sale price increased from 2023 by 30%, while Village Verde – a development of luxury apartments – has reached 85% of units sold, more than 6 months ahead of the delivery of its second phase.
The estate’s hospitality offerings also shone in 2024, with the SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort being named as the Best Golf Hotel in Spain by the International Property Awards, underlining its world-class service, gastronomy offering, and plethora of amenities.
2024 brought further accolades in global golf rankings. Golf World ranked Sotogrande #6 in its Top 100 European Resorts, a climb of 11 places, while National Club Golfer retained Sotogrande’s #3 position in European Resorts, reaffirming it as Spain’s #1 golf destination. Golf Digest also included Real Club Valderrama (29th) and Real Club Sotogrande (74th) in its World Top 100 Courses list – the only Spanish courses to feature.
This comes in a year where Real Club Valderrama, positioned at the heart of Sotogrande, once again hosted the LIV Golf League, with Spanish legend Sergio Garcia securing victory at LIV Andalucia. In addition, Sotogrande’s original golf club, Real Club Sotogrande, hosted the DP World Tour’s Estrella Damm Andalucia Masters in October.
