¡Como pasa el tiempo, parece que fue ayer!
Un buen año para España ha transcurrido…. y el turismo al límite de la capacidad de muchos lugares y ciudades.
Debemos aprender a ser selectivos, para no morir de éxito, ¿pero cómo?
Ese es el quid de la cuestión. No se trata de que los precios sigan subiendo porque eso perjudica a los más débiles, y encarece aún mas el precio de la vivienda.
La provincia de Cádiz ha estado a tope. Todos los municipios, incluso los del interior. Y ¿dónde alojar a los trabajadores?
Y las carreteras al límite y el ferrocarril en la provincia un desastre. Los pueblos del Campo de Gibraltar están explotando adecuadamente sus recursos. Urbanizaciones, turismo rural, casas rurales …….
Para el próximo curso se supone que también tendremos el aeropuerto de Gibraltar operativo y verdaderamente internacional.
Por otra tarte, creo que debemos publicitar más y mejor los puertos deportivos, el turismo náutico y la calidad en este sector.
Y, sobre todo, hay que encontrar la fórmula para los que vienen a vivir aquí.
Somos atractivos para Europa por el clima, la gastronomía, el paisaje, la cultura…y eso es lo que nos da la garantía de estabilidad y calidad de vida.
Esperemos no morir de éxito.

How time flies, it feels like only yesterday!
A good year for Spain has gone by… and tourism has reached the limits of capacity in many places and cities.
We must learn to be selective if we are not to die of success, but how?
That is the crux of the matter. It is not a question of prices continuing to rise, because that harms the most vulnerable and makes housing even more expensive.
The province of Cádiz has been operating at full capacity. All municipalities, even those inland.
And where are workers supposed to live? Roads are at their limit, and the railway system in the province is a disaster.
The towns of the Campo de Gibraltar are making good use of their resources: residential developments, rural tourism, country houses…
Next season, we are also expected to have Gibraltar Airport operating as a truly international airport.
On the other hand, I believe we should promote marinas, nautical tourism and quality within this sector much more and much better.
And, above all, we must find a formula for those who come to live here.
We are attractive to Europe because of our climate, gastronomy, landscape and culture, and that is what guarantees stability and quality of life.
Let us hope we do not die of success.
