Decenas de personas disfrutan de “Ven y conoce a Papa Noel” la jornada festiva realizada el 7 de diciembre en este centro comercial, cuya recaudación fue destinada a las ONG ‘Apoyo Mutuo’ y ‘Centro Contigo’
El pasado 7 de diciembre, el centro comercial Plaza Blanca en Sotogrande acogió un perfecto ejemplo de espíritu navideño y solidario con el evento “Ven y conoce a Papá Noel”, que tuvo como objetivo recaudar fondos para las asociaciones Apoyo Mutuo de San Roque y Centro Contigo de La Línea, que ayudan a menores y familias en situación de vulnerabilidad.
Entre las actividades destacaron sorteos, regalos, la visita de Santa Claus y una animada caminata navideña en la que los participantes, incluidos vecinos y autoridades como el alcalde de San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, lucieron gorros de Papá Noel y jerséis navideños mientras recorrían 5 kilómetros por las calles de Sotogrande. La jornada también contó con la música en directo de los grupos de alumnos del Colegio Internacional de Sotogrande, además de degustaciones de dulces navideños internacionales, entre otros productos.
Con esta actividad, además de apoyar la importante actividad solidaria de ambas organizaciones, los asistentes pudieron comprobar también el magnífico aspecto de Plaza Blanca tras la rehabilitación realizada en el último año por sus nuevos promotores, Andrew y Carla Brooks. Una gran reforma que ha revitalizado este histórico centro comercial de Sotogrande, que cada vez acoge a más comercios de diferente actividad, y que, como demuestra con estos eventos, cuenta con todo lo necesario para convertirse en un nuevo punto de encuentro y ocio para toda la comunidad local de Sotogrande.

Plaza Blanca welcomes Christmas holidays with a charity event
Dozens of people enjoyed «Come and meet Santa Claus», the festive day held on the 7th of December at this shopping centre, the proceeds of which were donated to the NGOs ‘Apoyo Mutuo’ and ‘Centro Contigo’.
On the 7th of December, the Plaza Blanca shopping centre in Sotogrande hosted a fine example of Christmas spirit and solidarity with the event «Come and meet Santa Claus», which aimed to raise funds for the associations Apoyo Mutuo from San Roque and Centro Contigo from La Línea, both of which help children and families in vulnerable situations.
The activities included raffles, gifts, a visit from Santa Claus and a lively Christmas walk in which participants, including neighbours and officials such as the mayor of San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, wore Santa hats and Christmas jumpers as they walked 5 kilometres through the streets of Sotogrande. The day also featured live music by groups of students from the Sotogrande International School, as well as tastings of international Christmas sweets, among other products.
With this activity, in addition to supporting the solidarity activity of both organizations, attendees were also able to see the beautiful appearance of Plaza Blanca following the renovation carried out in the last year by its new promoters, Andrew and Carla Brooks. A major refurbishment that has revitalised this historic Sotogrande shopping centre, which is becoming increasingly popular with a growing number of commercial establishments, and which, as these events demonstrate, offers everything necessary for it to become a new meeting and leisure point for the entire Sotogrande local community.
