El San Roque Rugby Club inició a finales de agosto su temporada 2024/2025 con el regreso a los entrenamientos de sus diferentes equipos. Durante estas primeras semanas de septiembre, las instalaciones del club, situadas en Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, han vuelto a llenarse de actividad con las primeras sesiones preparatorias de cada equipo, desde los más benjamines hasta el senior.
Para este año, el club celebró además el inicio de la nueva temporada de una forma especialmente emotiva, organizando un amistoso entre su equipo senior y un conjunto de antiguos miembros del club. Este equipo invitado, denominado para la ocasión como «Pupilos de Juanmi», se compuso por jugadores que, desde pequeños, han ido pasando por todas las categorías del club con su entrenador Juan Miguel Moraleja Jorge. El emotivo reencuentro sobre la cancha sirvió también como homenaje al jugador local Javier Capurro y contó con una fila 0 para donativos que se destinaron a colaborar en la lucha contra el cáncer.
De cara a la nueva temporada, el club sanroqueño ya ha lanzado a través de sus redes sociales su campaña de captación de nuevos jugadores para todas sus categorías, destinado a chicos y a chicas desde los 4 hasta los 18 años.

San Roque Rugby Club kicks off its new season
San Roque Rugby Club kicked off its 2024/2025 season at the end of August with the resumption of training for its various teams. During these first weeks of September, the club’s facilities, located in Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, have once again been full of activity with the first preparatory sessions for each team, from the youngest to the seniors.
For this year, the club also celebrated the start of the new season in a particularly emotional way, organising a friendly match between its senior team and a group of former members of the club. This guest team, called ‘Pupilos de Juanmi’ for the occasion, was made up of players who, from a young age, have played in all the different categories of the club with their coach Juan Miguel Moraleja Jorge. The emotional reunion on the pitch also served as a tribute to local player Javier Capurro and included a row 0 for donations to help in the fight against cancer.
With a view to the new season, the San Roque club has already launched a campaign through its social networks to recruit new players for all its categories, aimed at boys and girls from 4 to 18 years of age.
