Las lluvias reaparecieron en la comarca con dos frentes fríos que dejaron importantes precipitaciones en la zona, obligando a activar el primer nivel de alerta en el municipio de San Roque
El mes de marzo comenzó con importantes precipitaciones en el Campo de Gibraltar a causa de la aparición de dos fuertes borrascas que, entre los últimos días de febrero y las primeras semanas del nuevo mes, dejaron su huella en el Valle del Guadiaro.
Primero fue una DANA que apareció en la última semana de febrero, coincidiendo con el Día de Andalucía y obligando a la suspensión de la mayoría de los actos previstos. En ese fin de semana, ya en los primeros días de marzo, se registraron importantes trombas de agua que provocaron varios incidentes en el término municipal de San Roque, obligando a actuar al dispositivo de emergencia preparado por el Ayuntamiento con Obras y Servicios, Policía Local y Protección Civil, en colaboración con la Guardia Civil.
Días después fue el turno de la borrasca llamada ‘Jana’, seguida de otros dos temporales más que también afectaron con fuerza a la Costa del Sol y la Serranía de Ronda, donde el curso alto del Guadiaro y el Hozgarganta comenzaron a acumular tal cantidad de caudal, que se activó el riesgo de inundación en Jimena, Tesorillo y todo el valle del Guadiaro.
Los efectos de ‘Jana’ se dejaron sentir en todo el municipio de San Roque, afectando a viviendas particulares y espacios públicos como parques y jardines que necesitaron de diversas actuaciones de mantenimiento una vez pasaron las lluvias. Esta borrasca coincidió con la celebración de los Carnavales de San Roque y Guadiaro que, a pesar de alguna modificación en su programación, pudieron celebrarse sin incidencias destacables.

Several consecutive squalls bear their mark on the Guadiaro Valley
Rainfall reappeared in the region with two cold fronts that left significant precipitation in the area, forcing the activation of the first level of alert in the municipality of San Roque.
March began with significant rainfall in Campo de Gibraltar due to the appearance of two strong squalls which, between the last days of February and the first weeks of the following month, left their mark on the Guadiaro Valley.
The first was a DANA which occurred in the last week of February, coinciding with the Day of Andalusia and forcing the suspension of most of the planned events. On that weekend, during the first days of March, there were important downpours of water that caused several incidents in the municipality of San Roque, forcing the emergency plan prepared by the Town Hall with Works and Services, Local Police and Civil Protection, in collaboration with the Guardia Civil, to take action.
Days later it was the turn of the storm called ‘Jana’ and two more following storms, which also affected the Costa del Sol and the Serranía de Ronda, where the upper course of the Guadiaro and the Hozgarganta began to accumulate so much water that it activated the risk of flooding in Jimena, Tesorillo and the whole valley of the Guadiaro.
The effects of ‘Jana’ were felt throughout the municipality of San Roque, damaging private homes and public spaces such as parks and gardens which needed maintenance work once the rains had passed. This storm coincided with the celebration of the Carnivals of San Roque and Guadiaro which, despite some modifications to the programme, were able to be held without any significant incidents.
