¡Por fin! Ya está en marcha una nueva edición del Estrella Damm NA Andalucía Masters 2023 con una novedad muy importante: la sede. Este año 2023 este mítico torneo del DP World Tour cambia su sede habitual de las últimas temporadas a una nueva aunque sobradamente conocida en el Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.
El diseño de Robert T. Jones Sr es desde hace casi seis décadas un referente mundial de los campos de golf. Una joya de la corona diseñada sobre una finca majestuosa junto al Mediterráneo y con el estrecho de Gibraltar como testigo único de mil y una contiendas golfísticas de los mejores jugadores históricos. No en vano, el último gran torneo profesional internacional se lo llevaba para casa Severiano Ballesteros en uno de sus campos preferidos.
Desde entonces hasta ahora, el Real Club de Golf Sotogrande ha sido el epicentro del mejor golf amateur con la disputa de la extinta Copa Jerez o la actual Copa Sotogrande. Sergio García, Rory Mcilroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari, Pablo Larrazabal, Adrian Otaegui, Ángel Hidalgo, Jorge Campillo… y un largo etcétera conocen a la perfección un diseño que promete emoción máxima desde el minuto uno. ¡Todos están deseando volver esta vez como profesionales y luchar por la victoria de este EDAM 2023!
El equipo capitaneado por Kostka Horno desde la dirección del club y con Patrick Allende como Head Greenkeeper llevan meses preparando exhaustivamente este diseño que reflejará la dureza del mismo. Greenes movidos y rápidos, bunkers en perfecto estado esperando un mínimo error de cada jugador lo que unido a un rough más denso de lo habitual dificultará o exigirá el mejor golf a todo jugador que desee llevarse el triunfo para casa. Y en esta ecuación no podría faltar las injerencias del dios Eolo con sus azotes de Levante o Poniente que a buen seguro soplará sobre este rincón envidiable de la geografía Andaluza.
A nivel de field de jugadores, este EDAM 2023 viene cargado de un plantel de máxima calidad golfística encabezado por dos jugadores Ryder Cup en Roma este año: Wyndham Clark y Bob Mccintyre. Francesco Molinari, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Matt Kutchar o Pablo Larrazabal intentarán desbancar a Adrián Otaegui del Olimpo de ganadores pero saber el ganador habrá que esperar al domingo 22 de octubre sobre las 18:00 horas. ¡No os lo perdáis!

Estrella Damm NA Andalucía Masters + RCG Sotogrande= The Perfect Combination
A new edition of the Estrella Damm NA Andalucía Masters 2023 is finally underway with a very important new development: the venue. This year 2023, the legendary DP World Tour tournament will change its usual venue in recent seasons to a new but well-known venue at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.
The Robert T. Jones Sr. design has been a world reference in golf courses for almost six decades. The crown jewel was designed on a majestic estate next to the Mediterranean and with the Strait of Gibraltar as the unique spectator of a thousand and one golfing contests of the greatest golfers in history. It was not in vain that the last great international professional tournament was won by Severiano Ballesteros on one of his favourite courses.
From then until now, the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande has been the epicentre of the best in amateur golf, hosting the now defunct Jerez Cup and the current Sotogrande Cup. Sergio García, Rory Mcilroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari, Pablo Larrazabal, Adrian Otaegui, Ángel Hidalgo, Jorge Campillo… and a long list of others perfectly know a design that promises maximum excitement from the very first minute. They are all eager to come back this time as professionals and fight for the EDAM 2023 victory!

As for the field of players, this EDAM 2023 is loaded with top quality golfers headed by two Ryder Cup Rome players this year: Wyndham Clark and Bob Mccintyre.
