GiraCat e Iridike Polo organizan la primera copa de esta innovadora variante del polo con un especial protagonismo para los más pequeños, que demostraron su destreza en la cancha sobre los monociclos eléctricos
El pasado 16 y 17 de marzo las canchas de Puente de Hierro de Santa María Polo Club en San Enrique de Guadiaro recibieron la Electric Polo Cup, el primer torneo de Roda Polo 2024
Esta nueva disciplina deportiva combina la destreza del taqueo del polo con la agilidad sobre ruedas en monociclo eléctrico, ofreciendo a los participantes y espectadores una variante divertida y original del polo tradicional pequeña escala, especialmente indicada para niños y jóvenes. Esta innovadora versión del polo ha ganado popularidad en todo el mundo y Sotogrande, como uno de los enclaves más importantes a nivel internacional de este deporte, no podía quedar exento de acoger una competición del nuevo Roda Polo.
La Electric Polo Cup ha contado con la participación de 11 equipos divididos en tres categorías, alta, mediana y mini. El equipo Kingsman se ha proclamado campeón de la categoría alta, seguido de La Martina y Giracat. En cuanto a la categoría mediana, en primera posición resultó el equipo de San Roque, en segundo lugar Kingstong y en tercero, EMS Experience.
Durante todo ese fin de semana, decenas de visitantes disfrutaron del magnífico ambiente en las canchas de Puente de Hierro presenciando los diferentes encuentros que se fueron sucediendo hasta el domingo, día en el que se disputaron todas las finales, culminando con la entrega de trofeos. Esta primera copa de Roda Polo de 2024 fue organizada por Iridike Polo y GiraCat, cuyo responsable, Óscar Lechado Alonso, confirmó la celebración de un segundo torneo a lo largo de este año.

Kingsman victorious in Sotogrande’s first 2024 Electric Polo Cup
GiraCat and Iridike Polo organised the first cup of this innovative variant of polo in which the youngest players played a special role, demonstrating their skills on the court with their electric unicycles.
On the 16th and 17th of March the Puente de Hierro fields of Santa María Polo Club in San Enrique de Guadiaro hosted the Electric Polo Cup, the first tournament of Roda Polo 2024.
This new sporting activity combines the skill of polo tackling and agility on wheels with an electric unicycle, offering participants and spectators a fun and original variant of traditional small-scale polo, especially suitable for children and youths. This innovative version of polo has gained popularity around the world and Sotogrande, as one of the most important international locations for this sport, was not to be left out of hosting a competition involving the new Roda Polo.
The Electric Polo Cup has counted with the participation of 11 teams divided into three categories, high, medium and mini. The Kingsman team was proclaimed champion of the high category, followed by La Martina and Giracat. In the medium category, the first place went to the San Roque team, second to Kingstong and third to EMS Experience.
Throughout the weekend, dozens of visitors enjoyed the magnificent atmosphere on the Puente de Hierro fields as they watched the various games that took place until Sunday, the day on which all the finals were played, ending with the awarding of the trophies. This first Roda Polo Cup 2024 was organised by Iridike Polo and GiraCat, whose manager, Óscar Lechado Alonso, confirmed that a second tournament will be held later this year.
