Las fiestas de Carnaval se celebran en diferentes puntos del municipio del 10 al 18 de febrero
Un año más, el municipio de San Roque disfruta del Carnaval con una amplia programación por cada distrito del municipio que abarca más de una semana, desde el 10 al 18 de febrero.
Una vez celebradas las fiestas en diferentes barriadas durante el fin de semana del 10 al 11 de febrero, en la última semana llega el turno del Carnaval de San Roque y el de Guadiaro. El lunes 12 de febrero dio comienzo el Concurso de Agrupaciones Carnavalescas en el Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo, con la participación de diferentes comparsas y chirigotas del Campo de Gibraltar y la actuación en cada semifinal de una agrupación invitada del Carnaval de Cádiz.
Este jueves 15 de febrero desde las 21.00 horas, el teatro acoge el Pregón de Antonio Molina “El minino”, la presentación de la Diosa y las Ninfas y la actuación de la chirigota gaditana de Los Molina “Los Chabolis”. El viernes 16, también a las 21.00, comenzará la Gran Final del Concurso, con la actuación especial de la comparsa de Manuel Cornejo “La alegría de Cádiz”.
Ya en el fin de semana llegará el Carnaval en la calle, con la Cabalgata del Humor desde la barriada de la Paz el sábado 17 desde las 18.00, con premios para disfraces individuales, parejas y grupos. Tras la entrega de premios, comenzará la Fiesta Joven en la carpa instalada en la Alameda Alfonso XI con música en directo del grupo Al Liquindoi y los DJ’s Michael Thin y Monchi.
El domingo desde las 12.00 tendrá lugar una Fiesta Infantil y las actuaciones de las chirigotas de San Roque y la comparsa gaditana “La Resbaladera, una comparsa de Toda la Vida”, de Nene Cheza y Zampi.
Carnaval de Guadiaro 2024
El Carnaval en Guadiaro comienza el sábado 17 a las 18.00 horas con un pasacalle de disfraces adultos e infantiles desde el campo de fútbol al Recinto Ferial, donde se podrá disfrutar de la actuación de agrupaciones carnavalescas mientras se deciden los premios infantiles y de adultos en sus diferentes categorías, que se entregarán sobre las 20.00 horas. Para el domingo 18, habrá una Fiesta Infantil desde las 12:30 y más actividades y actuaciones durante el mediodía.

San Roque delights in its 2024 Carnivals
The Carnival festivities will be held in different parts of the municipality between the 10th and 18th of February.
Once again this year, the municipality of San Roque delights in the Carnivals with an extensive programme for each district of the municipality. The programme covers more than a week, from the 10th to the 18th of February.
After celebrating the festivities in different neighbourhoods during the weekend of the 10th and 11th of February, the Carnival of San Roque and the Carnival of Guadiaro will take place during the last week of the month. The Carnival Groups Competition began on Monday the 12th of February in the Juan Luis Galiardo Theatre, with the participation of different troupes and ‘chirigotas’ from the Campo de Gibraltar, as well as the performance of a guest group from the Carnival of Cádiz in each semi-final.
On Thursday the 15th of February at 9pm, the theatre will host an opening speech by Antonio Molina «El minino», the presentation of the Goddess and the Nymphs and the performance of the Cadiz chirigota of Los Molina «Los Chabolis». On Friday the 16th, also at 9pm, the Grand Final of the Contest will begin, with a special performance by Manuel Cornejo’s troupe called ‘La alegría de Cádiz’.
The weekend will bring the Carnival to the streets, with the Cabalgata del Humor from the La Paz neighbourhood on Saturday the 17th from 6pm, featuring prizes for costumes for individuals, couples and groups. After the awards ceremony, the Fiesta Joven will begin in the marquee installed in the Alameda Alfonso XI with live music by the group Al Liquindoi and DJ’s Michael Thin and Monchi.
Starting at 12pm on Sunday, there will be a Children’s Party and performances by the chirigotas of San Roque and the Cadiz troupe ‘La Resbaladera, una comparsa de Toda la Vida’, by Nene Cheza and Zampi.
2024 Guadiaro Carnival
The Guadiaro Carnival begins on Saturday the 17th at 6pm with an adult and children’s costume parade from the football pitch to the Recinto Ferial. Here you can expect to see performances by carnival groups while the children’s and adults’ prizes are awarded in their respective categories, which will be handed out at around 8pm. On Sunday the 18th, there will be a Children’s Party starting at 12:30pm followed by more activities and performances during midday.
