¡Muy buenas! y gracias por seguir ahí mes tras mes… ¡hablando de golf!
Este 2025 será un año diferente en nuestra región, será un año en el que volveremos a tener en el mes de Julio en el Real Club Valderrama al LIV Andalucía. Podremos ver, in situ, a Sergio García defender su triunfo del año pasado, a Jon Rahm intentar vencer en Andalucía o a David Puig o Dustin Johnson sacar su drive a pasear en el espectacular diseño de Robert T. Jones Sr. ¡Una cita ineludible!
¿Y qué más torneos tendremos? Pues a día de hoy poco más confirmado se puede contar pero extra confidencialmente os diré que La Hacienda Links será, con alta probabilidad, el escenario de un torneo con carácter benéfico que reunirá a algunas de las estrellas deportivas y del celuloide más importantes a nivel mundial con el golf como excusa… Un escenario perfecto para un evento que enfocará durante varios días a San Roque en general y a La Hacienda Links en particular a gran parte de la prensa internacional… ¡Star time!
Se habla mucho desde el pasado EDAM celebrado en Real Club de Golf Sotogrande sobre el lugar de celebración de este torneo en esta edición de 2025. ¿La respuesta? Pues que no hay respuesta, de momento. El éxito de la edición de 2024 fue claro y contundente pero la celebración de esta prueba en 2025 no está confirmada pero tampoco descartada. Nos agarramos a que la semana de la disputa del torneo en 2025 (16-19 de octubre de 2025) aún está abierta en el calendario del DP World Tour 2025 así que las esperanzas siguen intactas aunque, francamente, está muy difícil…
Y por encima de todo, seguimos con el mejor golf internacional amateur con la disputa reciente de la Copa de Andalucía en La Cañada y La Hacienda Links y la celebración de la Copa Sotogrande casi rozando primavera en el RCG Sotogrande entre otros torneos valederos para el WR amateur.
¿Habrá alguna sorpresa más en materia golf en 2025? Igual nos sorprende algún torneo del Legends Tour por la zona… ¡2025 San Roque y el golf, esperamos mucho de tí!

San Roque and golf: fate or chance
Hello and thank you for still being here with us month after month… talking about golf!
This 2025 will be a different year for our region; it will be a year in which we will once again host LIV Andalucía at the Real Club Valderrama in July. We will be able to see, in situ, Sergio Garcia defend his victory from last year, Jon Rahm try to win in Andalusia or David Puig or Dustin Johnson take his drive for a walk in the spectacular design of Robert T. Jones Sr. An unmissable event!
And what other tournaments do we have? Well, as of today little more can be confirmed, but extra confidentially I will tell you that La Hacienda Links will be, with high probability, the scene of a charity tournament that will bring together some of the most important sports and celebrity stars worldwide with golf as an opportunity… A perfect setting for an event that will bring to San Roque in general and to La Hacienda Links in particular a large part of the international press for several days… Star time!
There has been a lot of talk ever since the last EDAM was held at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande about the venue for the 2025 edition of this tournament. The answer? Well, there is no answer, for the moment. The success of the 2024 edition was clear and convincing but the celebration of this event for 2025 is not confirmed nor discarded as of yet. We hold on to the fact that the week of the tournament in 2025 (October 16-19, 2025) is still available in the DP World Tour 2025 calendar, so hopes are still alive, although, frankly, it is quite tough…
Above all, we continue to have the best international amateur golf following the recent dispute of the Andalusian Cup in La Cañada and La Hacienda Links, as well as the hosting of the Sotogrande Cup approaching spring at the RCG Sotogrande, among other tournaments eligible for the WR Amateur.
Will there be any more golf surprises in 2025? Maybe we will be surprised by a Legends Tour tournament in the area… 2025 for San Roque and golf, we expect a lot from you!
