El acuarelista Paco Hernández continúa ofreciéndonos diferentes paisajes de Sotogrande en sus obras, llevándonos en esta edición a La Reserva
La Reserva es una de las zonas más actuales en el desarrollo urbanístico de Sotogrande. Inmersa en un bello entorno natural y alejada aún del bullicio de que presentan otras localizaciones más transitadas de este enclave, esta parte de Sotogrande es un magnífico ejemplo de cómo saber integrar naturaleza y actividad residencial, creando un espacio único y cautivador.
La acuarela:
La obra, en la que predomina el verde que domina el paisaje de La Reserva gracias a la integración del campo de golf en un entorno natural de colinas llenas de vegetación, muestra una bella gama de verdes que sostienen desde la base de la pintura a los diferentes matices que ofrece el cielo y el resto de los elementos del paisaje.
Con el golf como eterno leitmotiv de este destino al sur del Mediterráneo, el elegante edificio de La Reserva Club, el club de golf más moderno de Sotogrande, corona esta obra con las que Paco nos vuelve a deleitar en esta edición de SGplus.
Impresiones del artista:
La primavera se acerca y ya empieza a oler a Semana Santa en las ciudades. Las bandas ensayan los últimos acordes antes de las procesiones y el ambiente se llena de ese bullicio tan característico de estas fechas.
Entre todo ese movimiento aproveché para escaparme a la Reserva. Aquí el sonido cambia por completo: solo se escuchan los pájaros y el viento… cuando decide aparecer. Llegar hasta aquí es como llegar a otro mundo, casi al paraíso, en contraste absoluto con el ruido de la ciudad.
El verde es tan intenso que por momentos parece una maqueta perfectamente construida. Al fondo aparece el impecable edificio de La Reserva Club, una mezcla de elegancia, calidad y naturaleza que encaja sorprendentemente bien en el paisaje.
Para esta acuarela trabajé varios tipos de verdes, mezclando amarillos con distintos azules de la paleta. Para el edificio utilicé grises hechos con colores quebrados, evitando el negro directo. Y en las sombras, alargadas por la posición baja del sol, usé azules rotos pero intensos para reforzar esa luz de final de tarde.

Immersed in a stunning natural environment and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the estate’s busier spots, this corner of Sotogrande is a magnificent example of how to seamlessly integrate nature with residential living, creating a space that is both unique and captivating.
The Watercolor:
The piece is dominated by the lush greenery that defines the landscape of La Reserva, thanks to the golf course’s integration into a natural setting of verdant rolling hills. It showcases a beautiful range of greens that anchor the base of the painting, reaching up to meet the various nuances of the sky and the surrounding landscape.
With golf as the eternal leitmotif of this Mediterranean destination, the elegant La Reserva Club—Sotogrande’s most modern clubhouse—crowns this latest work by Paco, who once again delights us in this edition of SGplus.
Artist’s Impressions:
«Spring is approaching, and the air in the cities is already beginning to smell of Holy Week. The bands are rehearsing their final chords ahead of the processions, and the atmosphere is filled with that unmistakable seasonal buzz.
Amidst all that movement, I took the opportunity to escape to La Reserva. Here, the soundscape changes completely: you hear nothing but the birds and the wind… when it decides to show up. Arriving here is like entering another world, almost a paradise, in absolute contrast to the noise of the city.
The green is so intense that at times it looks like a perfectly constructed scale model. In the background, the impeccable La Reserva Club building emerges—a blend of elegance, quality, and nature that fits surprisingly well into the landscape.
For this watercolor, I worked with several types of greens, mixing yellows with different blues from the palette. For the building, I used greys created from broken colors, avoiding direct black. And for the shadows, elongated by the low sun, I used muted yet intense blues to reinforce that late-afternoon light.»
