El Taller de Escritura ‘Palabreando’, dirigido por Nuria Ruiz, rindió homenaje a finales de mayo a tres grandes figuras femeninas de la literatura española en un nuevo almuerzo literario
El pasado 31 de mayo la literatura fue la gran protagonista en Fresco Marina con la celebración de un almuerzo literario organizado por el Taller de Escritura ‘Palabreando’, que dirige la escritora y promotora cultural Nuria Ruiz.
En el salón de exposiciones del restaurante, una decena de participantes se dieron cita en esta actividad en la que, además de realizar diferentes actividades y ofrecer sus propias creaciones literarias, también rindieron homenaje a tres figuras imprescindibles de las letras españolas: Ana María Matute, Carmen Martín Gaite y Rosalía de Castro.
A pesar de pertenecer a distintas generaciones, (Matute y Martín Gaite, ambas coétaneas del siglo XX, y Rosalía de Castro, una de las principales figuras del Romanticismo de mediados del siglo XIX) la directora del encuentro literario destacó a SGplus que las tres autoras, “supieron escribir desde el dolor vivido, desde sus propias cicatrices, para denunciar e interpretar los conflictos de su tiempo”, dejando una profunda huella en la literatura femenina en España.
El encuentro, marcado por el ambiente distendido y la pasión compartida por la escritura de todos los participantes, se compuso de diferentes actividades que fueron desde la inmersión en la obra y el legado de estas tres históricas escritoras hasta la lectura de diferentes obras propias de los asistentes. Tras el almuerzo ofrecido por el restaurante, la jornada continuó hasta la media tarde con más actividades como la creación conjunta y espontánea de relatos y poemas bajo la dirección de la coordinadora del evento.
Finalmente, Nuria Ruiz también quiso agradecer el continuo apoyo de Fresco Marina y Puerto Sotogrande a iniciativas culturales como estos encuentros y otros eventos literarios que se realizan a lo largo del año en Sotogrande, como la celebración del Día del Libro o los propios concursos de Relato y Poesía que promueve la institución del puerto deportivo, con el mar como protagonista y principal inspiración.

Fresco Marina hosts a new edition of ‘Palabreando’
The Writing Workshop ‘Palabreando’, led by Nuria Ruiz, paid tribute at the end of May to three outstanding women in Spanish literature during a special literary lunch.
On the 31st of May, Fresco Marina hosted a literary lunch organised by ‘Palabreando’, a writing workshop directed by author and cultural promoter Nuria Ruiz.
Around ten participants gathered in the restaurant’s exhibition hall for this event, where they engaged in various activities, shared their own literary works, and honoured three key figures in Spanish literature: Ana María Matute, Carmen Martín Gaite, and Rosalía de Castro.
Though from different generations—Matute and Martín Gaite being 20th-century contemporaries, and Rosalía de Castro a leading figure of mid-19th-century Romanticism—Nuria Ruiz told SGplus that these three writers “wrote from the pain they experienced, from their own scars, to expose and interpret the conflicts of their time,” leaving a lasting impact on Spanish women’s literature.
The relaxed and passionate gathering featured activities ranging from exploring the lives and works of these historic authors to reading original pieces by the attendees. Following a lunch provided by the restaurant, the event continued into the afternoon with spontaneous collaborative writing sessions led by the coordinator.
Nuria Ruiz also expressed her thanks for the ongoing support from Fresco Marina and Puerto Sotogrande for cultural initiatives like these, as well as other literary events held throughout the year in Sotogrande, including World Book Day celebrations and the short story and poetry contests organised by the marina authority, where the sea remains a central source of inspiration.
