Al contar con una clientela que proviene de diferentes rincones del planeta, el sector de la hostelería y la restauración de Sotogrande ha crecido y se ha desarrollado en relación directa a esa gran variedad de nacionalidades diferentes, especializándose en presentar una oferta gastronómica de extrema calidad y para todos los gustos, orígenes y culturas.
Por eso hemos querido destacar en esta edición de SGplus la especial diversidad gastronómica de Sotogrande, que presenta un destacado potencial como enclave culinario del que además puede puede disfrutarse todo el año. Tanto en verano como en invierno, sería difícil encontrar un lugar donde, sin apenas desplazarte, puedes degustar platos tradicionales de cuatro continentes diferentes, mientras disfrutas de unas maravillosas vistas del Mediterráneo, de un bello puerto deportivo, o de un magnífico entorno natural.
Si esta enorme diversidad gastronómica se ha convertido, por derecho propio, en otro gran atractivo de Sotogrande, es gracias a su sector de hostelería. Empresarios y trabajadores que mejoran cada año en su objetivo de ofrecer la máxima calidad a su clientela y por continuar en funcionamiento más allá de los meses tradicionales de temporada alta. Un esfuerzo por desestacionalizar la actividad de Sotogrande que debe ser reconocido por la comunidad local y visitantes de la zona.
Además, en esta apuesta por la gastronomía de excelsa calidad se incluyen las frecuentes visitas de chefs de reconocido prestigio internacional, que también han dirigido su mirada hacia este rincón del sur de Andalucía como fuente de inspiración y un perfecto lugar de trabajo para dar rienda suelta a su creatividad culinaria, por fortuna para todos los que sabemos disfrutar de Sotogrande.

That’s why we wanted to highlight the special gastronomic diversity of Sotogrande in this edition of SGplus, a place with outstanding potential as a culinary hotspot that can be enjoyed all year round. Whether in summer or winter, you would be hard pressed to find a place where, without hardly moving, you can taste traditional dishes from four different continents, while enjoying wonderful views of the Mediterranean sea, a beautiful marina, or a magnificent natural environment.
If this enormous gastronomic diversity has become, in its own right, another great attraction of Sotogrande, it is thanks to its hospitality sector. Entrepreneurs and workers who improve every year in their aim to offer the highest quality to their clientele and to continue operating beyond the usual high season months. An effort to deseasonalise Sotogrande’s activity that should be recognised by the local community and visitors to the area.
In addition, this commitment to excellent quality gastronomy includes frequent visits from internationally renowned chefs, who have also turned their gaze to this part of southern Andalusia as a source of inspiration and a great place to unleash their culinary creativity.
